Co-Working Spaces and Hubs in Southern Nigeria

Over time, a number of co-working spaces have opened up in southern Nigeria although, its similar to what’s obtainable in Northern Nigeria with just a few co-working spaces in existence. However, the atmosphere there seems ready to take on the scene with the likes of Startup South and Abia Startup Weekend and with a very industrial environment, innovative tech startups may be the key to changing the whole region. Here are the co-working spaces and hubs in South-South and South-Eastern regions.




Founded in May 2014, Root Hub is a co working space that is part innovation lab, part business incubator, and part community center. Its is situated in Uyo.


Start Innovation Hub

Located on the 3rd floor in the Ibom Library, the Start Innovation Hub is a co-working space and hub. It aims at stimulating economic growth in the technology community by providing key ingredients like seed funding, mentoring and access to business expertise. Others are networking opportunities, peer review, pitch development, product testing and introduction to investors.



iDea Hub

iDEA is a Business Incubator / Accelerator established in 2013. It opened first in Lagos before opening up in Cross River.




Delta State Innovation Hub

Launched in July 2016 by the state government, the DS-iHUb as it is referred to, is Delta’s first tech hub and the center was donated by Zenith bank for the advancement and promotion of ICT in Delta State.

A co-working space in Enugu which also provides incubation and acceleration for startups. It is located at 34/36 Garden Avenue, Enugu.

Focus Hub

Focus hub is a business and technology innovation hub dedicated to solving social problems experienced in the Niger Delta. You can find them at 20 TipTop Street, Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt.
