For those who are looking for a challenge to participate in, we’ve compiled a list of hackathons happening around the country. Here they are;
This is a two-day hackathon that will pull together programmers, software developers, designers, business analysts, technology enthusiasts, and business owners. For two days, you will be working on prototype solutions that address business needs across various domains. People will pitch their ideas, and groups will be formed around those ideas.
The event attracts programmers and developers, designers, analyst, corporates, tech companies, business owners within and outside Abuja and present opportunities in knowledge sharing and networking.

ISDEV Hackathon is a weekend dedicated to hackers, developers and programmers to collaborate and build creative solutions to problems. The event would showcase interesting artifacts and innovations.
ISDEV (Innovative software developers) is a tech meet up program created to support and train individuals and students, training them to create smart software’s and applications that support all platforms.

The first Hackathon organized by the Angular Nigeria community is happening this month and it is sponsored by Cloudinary. This is a tense-free, community-driven hackathon that will happen in groups and organized in such a way that every developer from Beginner to Pro has a place to shine. This gives a room to solidify the knowledge of Angular and how to integrate it with other tools and dev environments.

Some of you may have already heard of this. The Union Bank Centenary Challenge will engage people across Nigeria to submit novel ideas that address some of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that are of immediate interest to Union Bank.
Applicants are to propose innovative ideas that solve fundamental social and commercial challenges faced by Nigerians in a range of sectors starting in one community but potentially scalable across the nation. Winners will get both monetary prizes, support and mentorship from the sponsors.

EpiAfric and Digital Health Nigeria have announced a call for applications for the “Health Meets Tech Application Challenge”, holding between June 30th and July 2nd, May 2017.
The challenge will bring existing health tech start-ups and new teams of 3 – 6 individuals to create, develop and pitch viable technological solutions to improve health outcomes for the average Nigerian. Solutions judged to be viable and promising will be supported with prizes and mentoring to improve clinical viability, exposure and market adoption. The Co-Creation Hub will deliver the Health Meets Tech App Challenge in Yaba, Lagos.
