There has been a +1 to the hubs in Abuja as Civic Innovation Lab recently opened its doors to the public. Civic Innovation Lab is a co-working space which wants to “harness innovation, and technology to provide effective solutions to our most pressing social and environmental issues.”
To encourage residents to come around and also reach a wider community, the hub will let people use its space for free for the entire month of August during which you’ll get free workshop and mentorship sessions, access to the workspaces, free internet, weekly networking mixer and DevTalk with speakers from civic societies and the tech community.
The hub which opened in June is a great addition and hopefully will help push the growth of the tech community in Abuja. It is open to techies, designers, entrepreneurs, corporate bodies, thought leaders, public officials, and citizens interested in leveraging technology.
Here are a few photos.
